In Loving Memory of Rev. Paul Birt
On Saturday, September 16, Rev. Paul Birt, known to most people as Pastor Paul, peacefully went home to be with the Lord. Paul began ministry at the age of 26 and remained active in ministry until the age of 87.
He leaves a legacy of practical, biblical teaching that has transformed the lives of millions through personal ministry, the establishment of Bible Schools internationally, the development of a seminary quality Bible school curriculum, partnerships with many other ministries, and compassionate outreach through an orphanage, a primary school, and a medical which he personally built with his hands.
Paul was a pioneer. He and Mary went to places where others would not go, bringing a liberating message of victory through Jesus Christ. Their 16 years of pastoring, 6 years of itinerating, and 39 years of missions work are a testament to his commitment to follow God's direction. To his last day on earth, his trust in God was complete. His life was a representation of Jesus.
For all of us who had the privilege of knowing him, we thank God for his work and life, and we value the training that he gave us in so many ways. Most of all, we celebrate that Paul is with his heavenly Father and reunited with his beloved wife.
