What’s Your Blind Spot?

I was thinking about someone today, wondering why he couldn’t see a flaw in his life. It’s blatantly obvious, so why can’t he see it?

The Holy Spirit nudged me. What is my blind spot? What have I held onto that displeases God and hinders what God wants to do in me, with me, and through me?

I asked the Lord. He told me. And I didn’t like it. I immediately and clearly saw what I had been blind to, what was hindering me from moving forward with Him, what was keeping me from flowing in His blessing.

Jesus said, “Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye?” Matthew 7:1-4 (NASB)

Now, what am I going to do about that blind spot in my life? Am I going to continue to promise God that I will change? Am I going to allow that area of my life to be off-limits to God? Will I insist on having things my way?

No. I want there to be nothing that comes between God and me personally so I can be the greatest blessing possible to Him and for Him to others.

Let’s do this together. Let’s take a good look at our lives and ask God to show us our blind spots. Let’s be believers and worship leaders that He can flow through without hindrance. Let’s do this and grow.
